SRINAGAR – The ski resort of Gulmarg slopes has turned white as all heights in the Kashmir valley received moderate to heavy snowfall.
However, after witnessing coldest night of the season when the minimum dropped to minus one degree yesterday, the summer capital Srinagar recorded four degrees temperature, though there were slight rains this morning.
The ski slopes, tree tops and roofs had turned white because of fresh snowfall, a hotel owner from Gulmarg was quoted by UNI.
He said it again started snowing today and the sky was cloudy, much to the delight of tourists.
The upper reaches, including Affarwat, Kongdori, Khilanmarg and other heights in the sector, received moderate to heavy snowfall since yesterday.
The famous health resort of Pahalgam, about 100 km from here also received fresh snowfall.
