Malik releases newsletter ‘Chinar’ of GDC Ganderbal

Class IV employees among awardees of college

SRINAGAR – Government Degree College, Ganderbal releases its newsletter “Chinar” today at an impressive function, presided over by Minister for Higher Education, A. G. Malik.

Earlier, Principal of the College, Prof. Nasreen Malik and senior faculty members welcomed the chief guest.

On the occasion, the Minister honoured meritorious students who have shown their excellent performance in debating, painting, sports and NCC with trophies and certificates. He also encouraged and honoured the Class IV employees of the college for their dedication and hard work in performing their duties in the college.

 Later, addressing the staff and students of the college, the Minister asked teaching fraternity to work hard for the betterment of students.

He said that government is committed to extend higher education to the students of not only urban but rural and remote areas of the state and for this purpose, a network of colleges has been opened in length and breadth of the state.

The Minister appreciated the Principal GDC Ganderbal and her staff for earning laurels in the field of academics as well as extra-curricular activities.
