SRINAGAR – Senior resistance leader and National Front Chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan has stressed upon India and Pakistan to shun the traditional lip service regarding Kashmir dispute and take practical measures for the final settlement of the worlds oldest political dispute.
We Kashmiris do not want mere lip service on part of either India or Pakistan, we are for solid and practical steps so that the dispute which is endangering the peace of the whole region can be settled once and for all, Khan said adding that mutual trade will yield no results.
He was addressing a large number of people in Driagam Budgam on Friday.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that India and Pakistan must take Kashmiris into confidence and if they reached any agreement not satisfying the sentiments of Kashmiris, it will be opposed tooth and nail by Kashmiris and pro-freedom leadership jointly.
Kashmiris are for complete freedom from India and for this purpose the people have sacrificed their kith and kin so it is beyond imagination that Kashmiris can compromise on the freedom struggle without positive results.
Nayeem Khan appealed people to understand the lessons of Karbala where Imam Hussain AS stood for the truth and saved the structure of Islam from being dismantled.
Khan congratulated the Muslim world on the eve of new Hijri Year saying that at the very beginning of every year Muslims must learn to adopt the path of Hussain AS and reject every face of Yazidiat.
