SRINAGAR – While hailing the attack on a liquor shop at Dal Boulevard here, Hizbul Mujahideen outfit has denied it had a hand in the attack.
Hizbul Mujahideen in a statement said it had nothing to do with the attack and Junaidul Islam, who had claimed responsibility for the attack on behalf of the Hizb, does not belong to the organization.
It is a known fact that the Indian forces and intelligence agencies are trying to spread waywardness by establishing shops of liquor, immorality etc. to undermine the Islamic character of the state. However, Mujahideen and people of the state would not let the designs of the agencies succeed, the statement read.
Hizb along with the freedom loving people is fighting against the cultural aggression. Owners of liquor shops and other such trades are expected to take up alternative (halaal) means of earning. No one will be allowed to spread social and cultural waywardness in Kashmir, the statement added.
