SRINAGAR – Chief Executive Officer, J&K ERA today impressed upon engineers and contractors working on 17.6 Km Pohru Chowk-Chanapora and 12.8 Km Bemina Chowk Fruit Mandi storm water drainage schemes to ensure the completion of work on these schemes by end of current fiscal.
He said this while conducting the site inspection of the two drainage schemes taken up by J&K ERA under the urban component of its ongoing Multisector Project for Infrastructure Rehabilitation in J&Kfunded by Asian Development Bank.
Director Urban, J&K ERA, informed CEO that construction of drainage network of both these schemes has almost been completed and presently work on three pumping stations at Bemina, Chanapora bridge and Gulshan Nagar is underway adding that civil works component of these pumping stations is also nearing completion and installation of electromechanical equipments will be started soon.
CEO directed engineers, contractors and consultants to speed up pace of work on both civil and electromechanical components to ensure completion of the remaining drainage schemes by end of year.
