Incentive of Rs. 10.83 Lakhs to be provided
SHOPIAN – In order to make agriculture machinery and tools available at doorsteps to the farmers in the valley, the Agriculture Department is organizing Farm Machinery Melas throughout the valley. As a part of this programme, Farm Machinery Mela was organized at Krala Chek Keller today, in which large number of farmers of the area participated.
On this occasion, Director Law Enforcement J&K, M.S. Kutoo said that the farm production shall have to be proportionate the population explosion & impressed upon field extension agencies strive land to bridge the gap between demand and production. He said that our thrust area is to introduce latest modern technologies & machinery in Agriculture & allied sectors to yield good results in production, helps the farming community to increase their economy.
Chief Agriculture Officer Ghulam Nabi Adfar called upon farmers to come forward and take benefits of the schemes launched by the Department. He added that your cooperation with Agriculture Department would help to come out from food scarcity.
In the mela several authorized dealers displayed different kinds of agriculture machinery. Farmers of Sub Division Keller purchased various farm machinery including 2 Tractors, 60 Irrigation Pump Sets, 5 Tillers, 30 Foot sprayers & 16 numbers of Poly Green Houses, for which Department of Agriculture will provide Rs. 10.83 lakhs as subsidy component.
