BUDGAM – Under Agriculture technology Management Agency (ATMA) programme, a group of 20 progressive farmers from District Budgam were flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Budgam M. Akbar Ganaie today for interstate tour. Farmers shall be visiting to Olive farm Ramban, SKUAST (J), Agriculture Farm Chinor and other Agriculture related Divisions.
On this occasion Deputy Commissioner said that the government is committed for upliftment of farming community. He said that the visit of farmers shall not only boost their moral but shall also provide them opportunity to interact with the Agriculture scientists and the fellow farmers, and become aware about the latest research in agriculture and allied sectors and transfer such technology in their fields.
Chief Agriculture Officer Budgam, M.A Parray said that the Department is going to organize more and more educational tours for the farmers
