Srinagar, Nov 12: Democratic Freedom Party Chairman, Shabir Ahmad shah has congratulated the Hindu community on the eve of Diwali and said that these kinds of festivals pave for mutual understanding and brotherhood.
Everybody should congratulate one another on the festivals irrespective of any religious or political affiliation. History is witness to the fact that all the people of Jammu and Kashmir participate in one others religious festivals irrespective of any religious or political affiliation. Such occasions cement the bonds of brotherhood and communal harmony, he said.
In his message shah said: We should optimally utilize these occasions for creating a harmonious society, for which the people of Jammu and Kashmir have already set an example.
Hoping that the Diwali will come as a relief to the people who have been confronted to difficulties and facing various political problems, he said, This Diwali will bring some kind of relief to the people of the valley who have been struggling for the last six decades. The various religious Sufis and Saints that Allah has bestowed the valley with have set an example of mutual understanding among themselves. We hope that this Diwali will bring an end to the darkness of the valley that has engulfed the valley from many years and the season of Diwali will bring along with it a new dawn for the betterment of the whole society.
