SRINAGAR (KNS)- Enforcement wing of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Saturday sealed the premises of an under construction hotel at Rajbagh, which had come up in violation of the permission granted by the corporation.
The applicant was granted permission for constructing roof over the existing gutted residential building and for construction of compound walling at Rajbagh. But the applicant/violator in breach of permission granted to him converted the residential house into a hotel and violated the terms and conditions of the permission granted to him in accordance with plan by Building Operation Controlling Authority (BOCA), said SMC Media Relations Officer.
According to the Officer, the premises owned by Firdous Ahmed Lone S/O Ab Gaffar Lone R/o Abiguzar Sgr was sealed on the directions of Honble High Court. The court had passed an order on Nov 7 in OWP No. 759/2012 titled Masjid Noor V/s State and others in terms of which the BOCA (SMC) has been directed to seal the premises of the above mentioned, the officer added.
A huge illegal construction had come up on spot and the violator has raised construction on ground floor also without any permission. In compliance to the orders of the Hon,ble High Court, the premises was sealed on 10-11-12 with the assistance of SHO Rajbagh in presence of Executive Magistrate, the officer said.
The premises was put on the Superdari of Joint Commissioner Planning and Chief Enforcement Officer SMC Hakeem Aijaz, she added.
