SRINAGAR (KNS)- Residents of Nayak bagh Nowgam today protested over non availability of electric supply in the area. A deputation from the locality told KNS that the area was put in darkness even on Eidul Adha due to non availability of the electricity.

“Our grievances are going unheard. How authorities can put us in dark on the days of Edul Adha”, said a local resident Mohammad Ashraf told KNS. “We went door to door and informed authorities about our grievance but they’re paying no heed”, he added.

Locals allege that the authorities have failed to provide basic necessities in the area. “There is no motorable roads or proper supply of drinkable water available in the area. Authorities have failed to provide us the basic necessities”, said another local inhabitant Ghulam Rosool.

Deputation from the area has appealed the concerned authorities to intervene at the earliest for the redessal of their grievances. (KNS)
