Probe begins into suspicious death in Batmaloo: Police

Srinagar, Nov 08: The J&K Police has registered a case and started investigation into the suspicious death of a person at Batamaloo, said the police spokesperson in a statement.
“Abdul Rashid Pandith resident of Rawalpora, Srinagar lodged a report with Batamaloo police alleging that his nephew Nasir Ali Sheikh son of Ali Mohammad resident of Rawalpora was poisoned by his in laws at Batamaloo. He stated that his nephew was hospitalized from his in-laws home from Batamaloo on 06/11/2012 and died on 07.11.2012 at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar”, the statement added.
Batamaloo police registered a case and has started the investigation into the suspicious death, the statement said
According to the spokesperson, body of the deceased was taken into custody by the police and after conducting postmortem and completion of all legal formalities, it was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
