Srinagar, Nov 08: Ulama groups on Thursday termed the recent High Court opinion on talaaq as objectionable, and that a final ruling on the HCs pronouncement would be issued soon after examining it minutely.
At a conclave organised by the Jamiat-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat-wal-Jamaat at the Daar-ul-Uloom Bilaliah here, Islamic scholars decided to set up a Shariat Board for final adjudication of Muslim jurisprudence matters.
In a statement, Jamiat secretary, Maulana Sheikh Abdul Qayoom Qasimi said that unwarranted interference by courts in affair pertaining to the shariat was intolerable, and demanded that the Muslim Personal Law not be meddled with.
Any interference in sharia laws and issues will not be tolerated, he said. Observer News Service
