SRINAGAR – City traffic police has seized several vans ferrying students to different schools in Srinagar for not adhering to traffic police directions issued from time to time.
Superintendent of Police Traffic Srinagar, Haseeb ur Rahman has said that strict action will continue in future also against all such vehicles which resort to overloading of school going children and rash driving.
“All such vehicle owners have been directed to approach RTO sringar for getting relevant permits without which they will not be allowed to ply on city roads particularly they will not be allowed to ferry school going children”, he said in a statement issued here.
SP traffic has also requested parents to stop sending their children in such vehicles which resort to overloading as it is like playing with the lives of their children.
Traffic police srinagar city will continue keeping a close watch on all such vehicles which do not follow the set norms and which violate the traffic police directions, the statement added.
