PULWAMA – A meeting of officers was held at Khanabal under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah, convened to review the pace of progress on various development and welfare schemes under execution in the district.
All the Additional Deputy Commissioners, Chief Planning Officer, district and sectoral officers of Hydraulic, R&B, PHE, Irrigation, PMGSY engineers and BDO attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that out of annual plan of Rs. 107.58 crore, Rs. 69.01 crore were released and spent judiciously upto ending October this year on various development and welfare schemes.
The meeting was informed that Rs. 4.13 crore were spent in R&B sector by virtue of which 55.75 kilometer roads were made motorable and 38.40 kilometers road was macadamized.
Similarly, 38 works of sanitation and 6065 meter lanes and drains were repaired and renovated. Besides, the construction work on Lalan Ganoor and Hanji Danter bridges was completed till July this year.
The meeting was told that under centrally sponsored SSA and RMSA schemes, 163 additional class rooms were added to 11 Government Primary Schools of the district.
