They cant face us politically, trying to silence peoples voices
SRINAGAR – While expressing deep anguish, Huriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has strongly condemned the police action against its workers and detaining its Party president in district Islamabad (Anantnag), Mir Hafiz Ullah and Amir Hamza.
Terming the action as an act of cowardice and sheer violation of freedom of expression, Syed Geelani lashed at state administration saying that the Omer Abdullah regime is afraid of its workers and has leashed a reign of terror in valley.
They cannot face us at political level and are trying to silent the voice of people. They wish to win this battle with might, said Syed Ali Geelani.
I take pity on them and it is quite astonishing to see that their attempts failed even in 1975 after Indra Abdullah accord, when they presumed the voice against their dynastical regime is nowhere .perhaps they were of the opinion that they can suppress the freedom movement, but failed. They can not deter us from our mission, reaffirmed Syed Geelani.
He said it was better for the government to learn lesson but they take the things for granted and never tried to revive their unjustified approach. Theirs is an undemocratic approach and they presume that by suppressing the masses they can eliminate their political opponents and the freedom loving people. Measures of suppression and repression against common people and peace loving political workers are highly condemnable. It will prove counterproductive, added Syed Ali Geelani.
The Octonagarian leader warned that local administration should understand that every family and each person has made sacrifices, and nobody can forget the martyrs and the sacrifices laid by them person and their families.
Geelani demanded that all the political workers including its party president Islam Abad and Baramullah be released without any delay and allow the political parties and workers to carry on their political movement.
