PULWAMA – Chairman, Central Vigilance Committee, Justice D.P. Wadwa reviewed the achievements of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) in Pulwama district today. The Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Mr. Shafat Noor, Members of Vigilance Committee besides Deputy Director CA&PD, Chief Planning Officer and Assistant Director CA&PD participated in the meeting.
A PowerPoint presentation was presented and meeting was informed about the performance of department. In the meeting, it was disclosed that the department has been formulated under the 15 Supervisory Circles and 330 outlets have been established among them. As many as 119 outlets are running under the commission basis.
The meeting was also informed that according to 2001 Census 76400 consumers are being provided ration under which 40264 are in Above Poverty Line, 21148 in Below Poverty Line, 14585 under Antyodaya and 400 consumers are getting ration in Annapurna Yojana.
While reviewing the stock position in the district, the meeting was told that 196226 quintals of rice, 19546 quintals of atta, 20086 quintals of sugar besides 20.97 lakh litres of kerosene oil and 158520 gas cylinders have been distributed among the consumers in district Pulwama upto end of October, 2012
