Raise slogans at NC rally, allege Shariq of offending their leader
LANGATE – Scenes of chaos and confusion were witnessed after supporters of Independent MLA from Langate Constitutency Engineer Rashid raised objections to certain offensive comments by National conference leader Sharief uddin Shariq during a public meeting in Langate.
Police came into action and lathi charged protesters when supporters of MLA Langate Er. Rasheed raised anti National conference slogans against the speech of Shariefudin shariq.
Sources told KNS, addressing the people in Langate when the member of Parliament Shariefudin Shariq, without naming the local MLA, alleged him of trying to dissuade people from joining a rally organized by the National Conference.
He went futher saying that to stop the NC for holding rally in the area MLA had desecrated the holy quran to disturb the law and order problem in the area. He said that the person had offered people IAY schemes benefits if they did not participate in the rally, sources added.
While Shariq was addressing the rally, Sarpanch Jahama, Tahir Ahmad with his other supporters outside the rally premises raised anti NC and anti-government slogans. Police swung in action and arrested Tahir, the sources added.
Meanwhile the supporters of the local MLA later went to the police station Kalam Aabad for filing the case against the shariq.
Ali Mohammad Sagar, while addressing the rally said that every one in the democratic society has right to express his views and it is public who would decide.
