Grassroots Football Festival Ends

Srinagar - At least 310 boys including 12 girls participated on the final day of the mega soccer kid festival, (Grassroot by soccer kid with the collaboration of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association ended on Saturd ts football festival) organized  ay here.

All the kids played football for one and half hour.

“This soccer festival is new concept to promote football among young kids all around the world.The main air of the festival was to attract new players to this marvellous sport. Every player gets a chance to share his or her ideas with the others,” director soccer Kids, Hilal Parray said.

The field was divided into 10 small playing stations and kids were given a chance to train at every station.

“I am sure that this festival will be an excellent tool for those who want to become involved in grassroots football the first initial beneficiaries will be children we need our kids should  come out in open to play rather than playing computer, I pad games”, chief patron, Soccer Kids, Shameem Mehraj, said.

Director TCI Cements, Umar Trambu, was the chief guest while the prominent among those, who attended the concluding function of the festival, were Senior Superintendent of Trafic.  Salman Soz, Gulzar Ahmad,

Principal International Islamic School distributed the medals to the kids.  While Soz extended his full support for the development of football in the valley.
