PL Pays Tributes To ‘Soura Martyrs’

Srinagar – Senior hurriyet leader and  chairman of peoples league has paid glowing tributes to  two brothers of soura Awantabhawan namely Nazir Ahmad Dar and Hillal Ahmad Dar they were  allegedly arrested by the BSF 86 batailion and killed in custody on  October  24 1993. He said they were the basic members of people’s league

“The sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be taken to its logical conclusion”, said Waza.

While speaking in the colloquium senior Hurriyat Leader and  Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said that Kashmiri martyrs centre-staged Kashmir dispute at the international level. He reiterated the pledge to continue the liberation struggle, despite all odds.

“Kashmir is the core issue between the two nuclear powers of the region. If the issue is not included in the agenda and there is no positive headway for its resolution, the talks are bound to fail,” Waza alleged.

“Right from 1947,India has been trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris by force. But neither they succeeded in the past, nor they would in future,” he added. Waza warned that New Delhi was pushing Kashmiris towards violent revolution. “Off late instead of making the atmosphere conducive for talks, troops have let loose a reign of terror across the State. If immediate measures are not taken by the government of india, we can see resurgence of violence in Kashmir. It will be more violent and aggressive than we have seen in the past,” he said. Reiterating his demand for demilitarization, Waza said, “Immediate and complete cessation of military and Para-military actions against the civilian population in Jammu Kashmir, withdrawal of military presence from the towns and villages, dismantling of bunkers, watchtowers and barricades, release of political prisoners and annulment of draconian laws are must for the protection of life and property of people.”Meanwhile A delegation of Peoples League visited the House of Shaheed Nazir Ah Dar and Hillal AH Dar, for paying tribute and fathe khawani by the advice of pl  Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, delegation includes Imtiyaz Reshi, AjAZ Ahmad Wani,Affaq Ahmad Bhat Nazir Ahmad Munshi AND Gh Jeelani.
