Jammu – Six people including two children were killed in an accident when an overloaded vehicle in which they were travelling with eight others fell into a gorge on the Jammu-Srinagar highway Saturday afternoon.
Police said the vehicle with a capacity of eight people was carrying 14 passengers from Srinagar to Jammu.
The driver lost control while negotiating a curve and the vehicle rolled down 300 feet near Chenani (about 85 km from Jammu), police said.
The injured have been shifted to Udhampur government hospital.
