Kupwara – The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kupwara today organized an awareness camp on the Rights of Women and their Protection from Domestic Violence at Town Hall, Kupwara here today.
Munsiff Judge Handwara, . Noor Mohammad Mir presided over the camp while the Chairman, DLSA, Kupwara, . Shahzad Azeem was the chief guest on the occasion.
The Senior Advocates of the Bar Association, . Mohammad Anwar Wani, . Mohammad Sultan, . Ghulam Mohammad Bhat participated as law and legal experts besides officers of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and Social Welfare departments spoke on the topic Rights and Responsibilities of the Women Folk. As many as 150 ICDS workers and field functionaries participated in the awareness camp.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest emphasized for female education so that women folk could excel in every walk of life and shall compete at National and International levels
Meanwhile, according to Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora, an awareness camp on Women in need of care and protection is being organized on October 19, 2012 at Town Hall, Bandipora.
