Installs Solar Power Plant At Budgam
Budgam – Minister for Science and Technology, Aga Syed Ruhullah today installed 20 KW Solar Power Plant at District Hospital, Budgam, urging people of the valley to switch over to the solar energy.
Manufactured at a cost of Rs 52 lakh, the Power Plant will provide round the clock power supply to the Hospital. The Solar Power Plant has been provided by the Union Ministry for New and Renewable Energy through Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA). The plant will facilitate assured power supply to the ICU and Operation Theatre.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the plant could be upgraded soon as it has an in build capacity for increasing its power output. He urged the need for installing solar energy devices at all the government installation to conserve the non-renewable energy resources.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, . Javed Ahmad Shah, Chief Executive Officer, JAKEDA, . Fida Hussain, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Budgam, and concerned officers of the district administration and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
