Bandipura – Arrangements for ensuing Muharram were finalized during a meeting of officers at Bandipora today. Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bandipur, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, officers from civil administration and the representatives of Shia community and Panchayat institutions.
During the meeting, measures taken up with regard to supply of essentials commodities, drinking water, electricity, firewood, LPG medicare facilities besides improvement of inner roads and sanitation were discussed threadbare. The officers on this occasion were directed to ensure adequate arrangements in Shia dominated areas during the Muharram days in particular. They were asked for upkeep of cleanliness around Imam Baras of the district and also to arrange additional arrangement of equipped ambulances, water tankers so that people face no difficulty.
