Poonch – To ensure smooth celebration of ensuing festivals with religious fervour, a joint meeting of representatives of all communities was convened by District Development Commissioner Poonch .Ajeet Kumar Sahu, here on Saturday.
Threadbare discussions were held wherein the representatives of various communities projected various issues and sought immediate attention of District Administration for timely resolution.
The meeting discussed arrangements for various upcoming festivals including Mahanomi (Navaratas), Dusseshra, Eid-ul-Azha, Diwali, Chirstmas and Gurpurab.
Meeting constituted a committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner with Asstt Director CA&PD, Tehsildar Haveli representatives of Health and Metrology Department Executive Officer Poonch Municipality and SHO as members, to fix rates of animals for sacrifice, mutton, poultry birds, vegetables, cheese and sweets and other eatables.
The committee would also ensure stock, supply and availability of these essential commodities in all the town and village markets of the district.
