Srinagar – Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Tara Chand today informed the house that the Jammu and Srinagar Development Authorities which are responsible for preparation and implementation of Master plans have undertaken exercise of revision of Master Plan 2000-2021.
Deputy Chief Minister was replying to a short notice question by Mr. Murtaza Ahmed Khan in the Legislative Council today. He said that in case of Jammu Development Authority the draft master plan has been prepared by CEPT University, Ahmadabad and is ready for inviting objections / suggestions of the general public. Same will be finalized and notified in next six months, he said.
In case of Srinagar Development Authority, Mr. Tara Chand said that the preparation of revised Master Plan has been entrusted to SAI Consulting and Engineering Pvt. Limited, Ahmadabad. The draft Master Plan is in initial stage. Basic data is being collected for finalization of the draft Master Plan. Same is likely to be ready for inviting public objections in next 10 months, he said.
Replying to another short notice question by Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri and Mr. Naresh Kumar Gupta, the Deputy Chief Minister informed the House that there are 11 Municipal Institutions in district Anantnag including Municipal Council Anantnag.
