Such Events Provide Sound Platform for Youth  to Exhibit Talent: Chib

Budgam – Minister for Medical Education and Youth Services & Sports, R. S. Chib today said that Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah is very much interested and enthusiastic for the upliftment of sports activities in J&K State and government is committed to boost up the sports activities in all parts of the State.

The Minister was addressing a function after inaugurating 5 days CRPF Synergy Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium Budagm here today.

While appreciating the efforts of organizers for arranging such tournament Chib, said that such events are providing a sound platform for local youth to exhibit their talent and can make their way for higher sports opportunities at national and at International level.

The tournament which is organized by 35 Battalion, CRPF, Humhama in which 8 teams from different parts of valley including SSP Budgam-XI, Budgam Blues, CRPF-XI, Humhama Cricket Club, Star Club Ompora, Burn Hall School, Airlines-XI and Media-XI are participating on knockout basis.

IGP, CRPF,  S S Sandhu, IG(Ops), Kashmir, L. M. Yadav, Commandant 35 BN, CRPF,  T H Khan, senior officers of CRPF, Air Force, Airlines, BSF, participants and local people were present on the occasion.  The Inaugural match was played between SSP Budgam-XI and Star Club Ompora.
