No Proposal To Introduce More Job Oriented Courses In GDC Badherwah: Malik

Srinagar – Minister for Higher Education, Abdul Gani Malik today informed the House that the present intake capacity of Poonch campus of Jammu University is 20 for M. Sc. Sericulture and 3 lectures have been engaged on contractual basis for running current academic session.

The Minister was replying to question by Jahangir Hussain Mir. He said land measuring 61 kanals and 7 marlas stand provided to the University of Jammu for establishment of said campus. . Murtaza Ahmed Khan and Syed Asgar ali raised supplementaries on the question.

In reply to another question by . Naresh Kumar Gupta, the Minister said that there is no proposal to introduce more job oriented courses in Government Degree College Badherwah for the time being. However, he said the introduction of honour courses in Commerce and English is under consideration.(Observer News Service)
