DDC Reviews DLRC Meet At Kupwara

Kupwara – The DLRC meeting reviews bank functioning in Kupwara district, the District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, . Sarmad Hafeez presided over the meeting.

The Lead District Manager, Kupwara, . Ghulam Hassan Wani presented the welcome address while the representatives of Reserve Bank of India, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, NABARD and other financial institutions functioning in the district besides the line department officers were present in the meeting.

It was informed that during first quarter of the current fiscal Rs. 45.13 crores were disbursed loan from different banks to 3,511 income generating units of the district.

In this way under Agriculture sector, Rs. 10.91 crores, Small Entrepreneurs were disbursed Rs. 15.71 crores followed by Rs. 18.51 crores under Services sector.

The meeting approved Rs. 223.81 crores for the year 2013-14 as District Annual Action Plan and targets for the banks and line departments.

The District Development Commissioner advised all the bankers and sponsoring agency to work with more zeal cooperation, coordination to achieve the goals and targets of the development process and eradication of unemployment in the district.

It was impressed upon the concerned to conduct awareness programmes at Block level in collaboration with the other cluster heads.
