Kashmir defeats UP by 8 Wkts

Ganderbal – In the ongoing cricket championship being played in several sports venues of Ganderbal, Madr-i-Meharban stadium witnessed some sizzling thrillers on Friday. Manipur recorded their first win against Viderbha and Awadh lost against Himachal Pradesh, while as Madhya Bharat suffered 8 wicket loss against their counterpart Madhya Pradesh.

In the matches under girls group, Kashmir defeated Uttar Pradesh while as Jammu lost their first match against energetic Rajasthan girls.

In the match played by Kashmir against Uttar Pradesh, Captain Sumaya of Kashmir team won the toss and offered UP to bat first. The bowling remained straight and sharp to uproot Uttar Pradesh inning to 37 runs in 7 overs. In return, Kashmir girls batted superbly to record a 8- wicket win over the visitors. In the second match in Girls group, Jammu team suffered a big loss against energetic Rajasthan girls. Jammu won the toss and elected to bat first giving Rajasthan a target of 91. In return, Rajasthan girls come with a good nick and chased the total on the loss of 4 wickets. The other venues witnessed tight matches under boys category.
