Auto driver washed away in Udhampur

Jammu – One person was killed while an auto driver was washed away inflash floods in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police spokesman today said.

Chain Singh drowned while the driver — who was yet to be identified — was washed away in flash floods late last night when they was crossing Tanas Nullah in Chenani area of Udhampur, the spokesman added.

Singh’s body was fished out this morning. “A search operation is in progress to locate the missing body of the driver,” he added.
